Terror Attack in Ramat Hasharon Leaves Many Injured

A presumed terrorist attack with a truck left at least 35 people injured on Sunday at a bus stop near Tel Aviv. Most of the victims were elderly individuals who were part of a group of visitors heading to a local museum in Ramat Hasharon, north of Tel Aviv.

Emergency teams quickly cordoned off the area and deployed a helicopter to assist in rescue efforts. The injured were distributed among several hospitals for specialized treatment according to the severity of their injuries. Television images showed a significant deployment of security forces in the area while the wounded were evacuated.

Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv reported that one of the victims is in very serious condition, and numerous ambulances and paramedic teams arrived on site to provide immediate medical attention. The police are conducting an investigation to determine the exact causes of the attack, which has raised concerns in the local community due to the vulnerable profile of many of the victims.

The incident occurred on a sensitive date, coinciding with the Hebrew anniversary of the attack perpetrated by Hamas in 2023, which triggered conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon. The attacker was shot at the scene by civilians after ramming the truck into the group of people.

The attack took place at 10:08 local time on Aharon Yariv Boulevard, near the Glilot military base. Magen David Adom deployed an emergency operation and transported the injured to nearby hospitals. Six people are in serious condition, five with moderate injuries, 20 with minor injuries, and four are being treated for acute anxiety.
